Viewpoints: Photographs from the EFE Archive

EFE is the world’s largest Spanish-language international news agency. Founded in 1939, EFE’s award-winning photojournalists have candidly captured and documented some of the most iconic and emblematic events and personalities of recent history, from dictators to kings to narcotraffickers, star-studded moments, political turmoil, and human tragedies.

Presented by MOAD, Viewpoints: Photographs from the EFE Archive comprises a collection of striking and impactful images that were donated to the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives. This selection of photographs aims to provide new perspectives on controversial or celebrated characters, places, and events, opening the eyes of audiences to perhaps unfamiliar moments of international, American, and Hispanic culture and history.
