Artists Antonia Eiriz, Juan Sanchez, and Pedro Vizcaíno each have an art practice that contemplates alternative states of being. The exhibition Beyond Time uses paintings, work on paper, and assemblage works to investigate ways in which the human experience can be rendered through allusions to the figure. Through expressive mark-making, these three artists position their subjects in realms where time becomes conflated, space appears flattened, and identity feels both altered and augmented.

This exhibition was organized by the Museum of Art and Design at Miami Dade College with support provided by Art Bridges. MOAD’s programs are made possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor, and the Board of County Commissioners. MOAD is sponsored in part by the State of Florida through the Division of Arts and Culture and receives generous support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
