    Reflections

    Permanent Exhibition

    Freedom Tower
600 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132

    Second Floor, Knight Skylight Gallery

Reflections offers space for contemplation, rest, and learning. Visitors inside the Knight Skylight Gallery can look up and catch glimpses of themselves in the mirror-like installation by Sharon Louden—a sculptural drawing in space that anchors the room and harnesses the power of light. The large screen, featuring local content, celebrates the dynamism of an ever-evolving city—imagery that is also reflected and refracted through Loudenʼs work. Stories of Miami residents—particularly those shaped by immigrant experience—are shared across digital screens, archival imagery, and exclusive broadsheets, a traditional printmaking format.

The exhibition features commissioned photography by Matías J. Ocner, Clara Toro, Vivian Vo, and Diego Waisman. At the interactive displays, you can engage with unique storytelling, a nod to the communication history of the Miami Daily News and the WIOD radiostation, both of which operated in the Freedom Tower in its early years. Together, these materials illuminate powerful narratives of resilience, triumph, and community-building.
