Celebrate the rich culture and literary talent of Haiti and the Haitian diaspora with GOGO MOAD at the Little Haiti Book Festival 2025! On May 4th, in collaboration with the Miami Book Fair and Sosyete Koukouy, enjoy a vibrant lineup of storytelling, hands-on children’s activities led by Asser Saint-Val, dynamic dance and music performances, traditional Haitian games, comedy, and panel discussions that cover current local and global issues.

In the art room, participants will work on a collaborative mural inspired by the resilient spirit of the turtle, as envisioned by accomplished Haitian author and entrepreneur Dr. Solanges Vivens. The turtle, symbolizing patience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome obstacles, reflects how we carry our identities and histories wherever life takes us.

Using a variety of materials, create your own section of the mural, express your individuality, and come together with others to complete the artwork!
