Join MOAD, Kabuya Pamela Bowens-Saffo, and the Women Artists Archive Miami (WAAM)) at MDC's Padrón Campus for a Miami Art Week reception celebrating the opening of Kabuya's first solo show in Miami.
Featuring works from as early as 1977 to present day, this exhibition celebrates the artist’s practice as a printmaker and honors her legacy as an active member of the South Florida art community.
From the Heights contemplates the role played by art collectives, explores the importance of archiving an artist’s oeuvre, and enlightens issues of race, gender, and class as it relates to history writing.
Refreshments will be served.
Free parking is available at MDC's Padrón Campus flat parking lot located at 2501 SW 6TH Street, Miami, FL 33135.
