    Join MOAD and Kinetic Kickoff for a family event welcoming our neurodivergent community. Enjoy a morning of art, movement, and sensory-friendly activities that encourage creativity and connection. This new event series is designed for families of children, teenagers, and young adults who are neurodivergent, on the autism spectrum and their families.

    🎨 Enjoy art-making activities inspired by works from the Languages of Migration and Abstraction as Legacy including “Build Your Chimú Monkey”

    🎶 Galleries in the museum will be modified throughout the event to create a supportive environment.

    ✨ Guest artist Lucia Morales will lead “Trenzas,” an immersive activity inviting participants to explore texture and movement through collaborative braiding.

    Thinking of our visitors’ different needs, we will also provide a resting area for guests who need a break during the event.

    This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

    Event attendees may park for at MDC’s Parking Lot 1 located on the south side of the Freedom Tower between NE 5th St and NE 6TH St.

    The Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at MDC may document the event, including its attendees. By entering the area, and/or participating in the event, you consent to the recording and its use in any form.
