MOAD is teaming up with Visit Surfside for ‘Surfside Summer Sundays,’ a special outdoor celebration that is free and open to the public. Making art on the beach, participants will create a unique watercolor as they learn the basics of observational drawing. Visitors will be encouraged to incorporate seashells, sand, and even ocean water into their artworks!

Observational drawing is a timeless practice that highlights the unique importance of place. This family-friendly artmaking workshop pays tribute to this classic art exercise, drawing inspiration from Miami’s beautiful beaches. Learn more here.

Parking is available in the lots at 93rd Street and Collins, 200 block of 93rd Street, and 94th and Harding. Parking rates can be found here. If you have any questions about the parking lots or parking meters, please contact Parking Operations Manager Elinor Joseph at 305.861.4862.

MOAD's programs are made possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor, and Board of County Commissioners. They are sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
