Tours

MOAD and the Freedom Tower offer a variety of options for groups, including guided and self-guided tours. Groups of ten or more must make a reservation at least two weeks advance. Museum tours are free for MDC students and faculty, and public-school student groups. Other docent-guided tours may incur an additional charge per person. Tour dates and times are based on availability.

Guided Group Tours for Students

The Miami Dade Public School Museum Education Program regularly provides tours for K–12 and special education classes. Tours are tailored to address the interests and developmental needs of participants. One adult chaperone for every ten students is required. MOAD cannot accommodate more than thirty-five students per tour group.

Self-Directed Student Visits

Self-directed visits for groups of ten or more students are available Wednesday to Friday, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. Please submit your request at least two weeks in advance to ensure gallery availability. There is no charge for self-directed student group visits to the museum. One adult chaperone is required for every ten students, grades K–12 (not to exceed a maximum of forty students per tour group).

Guided Group Tours

Docent-guided tours are available for groups of 10–30 adults. All tours last approximately one hour. Tour dates and times are based on availability. Docent-guided tours may incur an additional charge per person.

Visiting Scholar Gallery Tours
